A little about Caitlin...

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Caitlin Pate has gravitated toward the creative sphere from a young age; participating in numerous art shows and band competitions as a teenager. Their focus turned to the technical side of the industry after experiencing live theatrical productions through school and volunteering with the Louisville Actors Theatre. This passion led Caitlin to apply to Indiana University's audio engineering program.

During their time at IU, Caitlin gained experience in both live and studio production spanning a variety of artists and styles.

Caitlin’s experience in live
performance includes the Le Nozze di Figaro opera, Wonderful Town at the Ruth N. Halls Theatre, and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker ballet. They are adept in multitracking large live ensembles and providing live sound reinforcement. In the studio, Caitlin is practiced in foley, studio tracking, and automated dialogue replacement (ADR). They have recorded solo artists, small bands, large jazz ensembles, and full orchestras.

Caitlin strives to promote understanding of the wide range of identities that comprises the music and entertainment industry, and to create an environment that celebrates the uniquity within both performer and audience.

Caitlin earned a Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering and Sound Production
from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music

After graduation, Caitlin moved back to Louisville, Kentucky to take on an Event Technician role with the local Markey's team. Markey's Louisville branch operates within the Louisville Marriott Downtown and Hotel Distil, providing audiovisual support to live events.
